Three Core Technical Points For Cold Storage Panel Installation

In the refrigeration industry, cold storage panels with relatively low technical requirements have attracted a large number of people and funds. The selection of cold storage panels is very important for cold storage, because cold storage is different from ordinary warehouses. The temperature inside the cold storage is generally relatively low, and the requirements for air temperature, humidity, and environment are relatively high.

Therefore, when choosing cold storage panels, we must pay attention to choosing cold storage panels with better temperature control. If the cold storage panels are not selected well, the temperature inside the cold storage is difficult to control, which will easily cause the products stored in the cold storage to deteriorate, or make the cold storage refrigeration compressor work frequently, wasting more resources and increasing costs. Choosing the right panels can better maintain the cold storage.

Today, we mainly talk about the installation techniques of cold storage panels from three aspects: the installation of wall panels, the installation of top panels, and the installation of corner panels.

Before installing the cold storage, we need to do the corresponding preparations. As the saying goes, if you want to do your job well, you must first sharpen your tools. We must strictly control the materials to build a superior cold storage quality.

Cold storage equipment generally includes: cold storage panels, doors, refrigeration units, refrigeration evaporators, control boxes, expansion valves, copper pipes, control lines, storage lights, sealants, etc. These materials are used in almost every cold storage installation and are also common materials.

It is necessary to handle with care during transportation, and take anti-scratch measures on the panels and the ground. When installing the panels, it is necessary to strictly install them according to the design drawings. It is better to number the panels before installation, so that it can be more organized.

When installing the cold storage, a certain distance should be left from the surrounding walls, roofs, etc. to ensure the flatness of the ground. For large cold storage, the ground leveling work needs to be done in advance.

If there are fine gaps between the panels, sealants need to be used to seal them, strictly ensure the thermal insulation performance of the panels, and reduce the occurrence of wind leakage. After the panels in each direction are installed, they need to be fixed to each other with lock hooks to maintain the overall integrity of the cold storage.

  • Wall Panel Installation:

1. Wall panel installation should start from the corner. According to the panel layout, transport the two corner panels to be installed to the installation site. According to the panel beam height and the angle iron model for fixing mushroom head nylon bolts, drill a hole at the corresponding elevation in the middle of the panel width. When drilling, the electric drill should be perpendicular to the panel surface. Put the mushroom head nylon bolt in the hole (the nylon bolt body and mushroom head should be sealed with sealant), put on the angle iron and tighten it. The degree of tightening should be such that the nylon bolt on the panel surface is slightly concave.

When erecting the wall panel, soft materials such as foam should be placed on the floor groove in contact with the panel to prevent damage to the panel. After the two corner wall panels are erected from the floor groove, the plane position of the wall panel and the verticality of the panel should be adjusted in time according to the layout position, and the top elevation of the wall panel should be checked to see if it is correct (checking is required from beginning to end).

After the wall panel is in the correct position, weld the angle iron pieces to the plate beam and fix the inner and outer corners (apply a layer of sealing paste at the contact point between the inner sides of the angle iron plates and the warehouse plate). When welding the angle iron pieces, the angle iron pieces of the warehouse plate should be covered with shielding to prevent the high temperature of the electric welding from burning the warehouse plate and the welding slag from splashing onto the warehouse plate during arc welding.

2. After the two wall panels at the corner are installed, start to install the next wall panel along the direction of the corner. Before installing the next wall panel, two layers of white sealing paste should be applied to the convex groove or groove of the warehouse plate on the ground (the sealing paste should be applied at the corner of the convex groove or groove of the warehouse plate). The sealing paste applied to the convex groove or groove should have a certain height, and should also be dense, continuous and uniform. The installation method is the same as the first wall panel.

3. Use a hammer to hit the wood on the polyurethane warehouse plate between the two warehouse panels to make the panels close together. Two sets of connectors are used to wedge the wall panels. The two sets of connectors are fixed on the upper outer side and the lower inner side of the gap between the wall panels. The connector on the lower inner side should be as low as possible so that the concrete can cover the connector.

The gap between the panels should be kept about 3mm wide after the connector is wedged. If it does not meet the nuclear requirements, remove the panels, trim the edges, and then reinstall them to make the panel gap meet the requirements. When fixing the connector, pay attention to fixing the two parts of a set of connectors on the edges of the convex and concave warehouse boards respectively, and fix them with φ5X13 rivets. The distance between the connectors should be enough to tighten the two warehouse boards.

When wedging the wedge, keep the hammer and the wedge vertical to avoid damaging the warehouse board. The wedges at the upper and lower parts should be wedged at the same time and fixed with rivets.

  • Installation Of The Top Plate:

1. Before installing the top plate, the T-shaped iron for the ceiling should be installed according to the drawings. When installing the T-shaped iron, the T-shaped iron should be properly arched according to the span of the rigid frame to ensure that the T-shaped iron does not produce downward deflection after the top plate is installed.

The installation of the top plate should start from one corner of the warehouse body. According to the board arrangement diagram, the warehouse board should be raised to the specified height and position, and the longitudinal ends of the warehouse board should be placed on the wall board and the T-shaped iron respectively.

Adjust the parallelism and verticality of the coaxial line of the top plate, check the elevation of the bottom surface of the top plate, and then fix the top plate and the T-shaped iron with rivets, connect the corner plate between the top plate and the wall plate, and then start the installation of the next warehouse plate.

2. The installation method of the second top plate is basically the same as the first plate, and the plate connection method is basically the same as the installation of the wall plate. The warehouse panel connector should be fixed outside the warehouse. Three warehouse panel connectors should be fixed to each warehouse panel seam, one at each end of the warehouse panel and one in the middle of the panel (two warehouse panel connectors can also be used if the top panel is less than 4 meters long).

3. After all the top panels are installed, start the installation of the ceiling C-shaped steel. According to the actual arrangement of the top panel, the angle iron pieces for fixing mushroom head nylon bolts are welded to the ceiling C-shaped steel at the corresponding spacing on the ground.

Then place the ceiling C-shaped steel at the corresponding position of the top panel according to the drawings. The ceiling C-shaped steel should ensure the parallelism and verticality of the coaxial line. After adjusting the position of the ceiling C-shaped steel, open a hole in the top panel at the position of the angle iron bolt hole, and firmly connect the angle iron piece to the warehouse panel with a mushroom head nylon bolt.

Then weld the ceiling C-shaped steel to the purlin with a round steel hanger. According to the elevation of the bottom surface of the top panel, adjust the nut under the round steel hanger to adjust the ceiling C-shaped steel and the top panel to the specified height.

  • Installation Of Angle Panels:

Apply a layer of sealant on the inner sides of all angle panels of cold storage where they contact the storage panels. The angles between the wall panels should be fixed in sections to facilitate the pouring of polyurethane foam on site.

The angle panels of the fixed top panels should be cut with a notch every 500mm with iron shears (the size of the notch should be based on the size of the foam), and then fixed to the top and wall panels. The angle panels should be fixed with rivets, and the spacing between rivets should be kept at 100mm. The rivets fixed on the angles should be in a straight line with equal spacing.

Note that the tools used for drilling holes for rivets and fixing rivets with rivet guns should be perpendicular to the angle panels.
