Design and calculation of cold storage tonnage and cold storage capacity

1. Calculation method of cold storage tonnage

Cold storage tonnage calculation formula: G=V1 ∙ η ∙ Ps

That is: cold storage tonnage = internal volume of the cold storage room x volume utilization factor x unit weight of food

G: cold storage tonnage

V1: The inner volume of the refrigerator

η: volume utilization ratio/coefficient of cold storage

Ps: Calculated density of food (unit weight)

For the three parameters of the above formula, we give explanations and numerical references respectively, as follows:

1. The internal volume of the cold storage = length × width × height (cubic)

The volume utilization rate of cold storage with different volumes is slightly different. The larger the volume of the cold storage, the higher the volume utilization rate of the cold storage.

2. The volume utilization factor of the cold storage:

500~1000 cubic =0.4

1001~2000 cubic =0.5

2001~10000 cubic =0.55

10001~15000 cubic =0.6

3. Calculation density of food (unit weight):

Frozen meat = 0.4 tons/cubic

Frozen fish =0.47 tons/cubic

Fresh fruits and vegetables =0.23 tons/cubic

Machine-made ice =0.25 tons/cubic

Boneless cut meat or by-products = 0.6 tons/cubic

Boxed frozen poultry = 0.55 tons/cubic

2. Calculation method of cold storage storage volume

1. Calculate the area according to the tonnage

The hypothetical height of the cold storage size takes the most conventional 3.5 meters and 4.5 meters as an example. The editor summarizes the conversion results of the following common cold storage products for your reference.

2. Calculate the storage quantity according to the total content volume

In the warehousing industry, the calculation formula for the maximum storage volume is:

Effective internal volume (m³) = total internal volume (m³) x 0.9

Maximum storage capacity (tons) = total internal volume (m³) / 2.5m³

3. Calculation of the actual maximum storage capacity of the movable cold storage

Effective internal volume (m³) = total internal volume (m³) X0.9

Actual maximum storage capacity (tons) = total internal volume (m³) X (0.4-0.6)/2.5 m³

0.4-0.6 is determined by the size and storage of the cold storage. (The following form is for reference only)

3. Common cold storage parameters

The storage volume ratio and storage conditions of fresh products and common foods are as follows:
